Tenore A Closed Chapter
March 25th, 2013
After three years, one of the founding members of “Tenore” has officially resigned. Shane Wiebe of “The Wiebes” has announced he will no longer be touring with Tenore, but instead will be concentrating solely on an evangelistically focused music ministry with his wife, Angela. “I’ve had a lot of fun, and some wonderful experiences during my time with Tenore. As much as I’ll always be grateful for this chapter, I’ve never been more excited about the future of The Wiebes - God has a lot in store for us!” says Shane. “I’ll continue to pray that God uses Tenore to spur folks on in their faith in Jesus Christ”.

Brand New Album Officially Released
November 10, 2011
Since the day they met, Angela and Shane have dreamed of putting this project together. Well, it’s finally here! “The Hymns Collection” is filled with emotion and memory - passion and reflection. This album’s simple beauty will leave your heart warmed and your soul blessed. You see, these hymns were not written to be radio hits; steeped in poetic and theological substance they have stood the test of time. Many of these hymns have been the musical backdrop for everything from birth to death for centuries – and here they are in “The Hymns Collection”. To order the album, or listen to the tracks, click HERE. The album will also be available on iTunes in early December.

A Brand New Album!
September 26, 2011
Starting next week, The Wiebes will be putting down vocals for their brand new album, “The Hymns Collection”. Shane and Angela love the hymns, and have been wanting to record a hymns album since they started performing together nearly a decade ago. Well, that time has come. The album will be a simple, beautifully arranged collection of some of time’s most treasured hymns: How Great Thou Art, Hallelujah What a Saviour, Blessed Assurance, and Be Thou My Vision to name a few… it’s the album The Wiebes were born to record! Look for it’s release late October, or early November of this year. This is The Wiebes’ fourth studio album, and will be recorded at The Sound Suite in Abbotsford, BC, and Blue Frog Studios in White Rock, BC.

The Wiebes Relocate!
March 20, 2011
A 4,000km move later, The Wiebes have now set up in Stratford, Ontario (and we know you’re going to ask, so the answer is yes: Stratford is the famous hometown of Justin Bieber). The Wiebes have moved as part of their plan to keep riding the wave of God’s grace in their lives. “Being closer to Toronto and Nashville”, puts us closer to LOT more population, and a lot more of our industry contacts”, says Shane. He went on to say, “Most people won’t even notice we’re gone - we’ll be travelling more than ever, and that means we’ll be showing up in our native land of British Columbia at least four or five times a year”. The Wiebes purchased a ‘quaint’ 70’s split level house near the downtown in Stratford, and are currently in the throws of renovations. You can check out pictures on their Facebook page. For Shane, this is his first time taking up permanent residence in the East, but for Angela, she’s simply returning home. “I grew up here”, she says. “I love the idea of having four different seasons”.

Summer Tour 2010 A Success!
August 26, 2010
After 11 weeks on the road, from Vancouver, to Toronto, to Minneapolis, and back, in a 29 foot motorhome, The Wiebes are back home in Abbotsford once more. Performing in more than 30 locations throughout Canada and the US, highlights included performing on 100 Huntley Street, and Angela hanging out with Guy Penrod himself! Would they do again? “In a heartbeat” says Shane, “I thought I’d be exhausted after 11 weeks on the road, but I came home more restored than when I left! It just goes to prove that things just sit right when you’re where God wants you”. Angela’s mother, Elfrieda Bensler, was an invaluable asset to the trip; “We couldn’t have done it without her. She’s one amazing Nana” reflects Angela. Elfrieda travelled with The Wiebes for their entire tour - now that’s dedication. In Elfrieda’s mind, however, she doesn’t exactly see it as a chore; “I had fun too you know!” she says, setting the record straight. Undeniably The Wiebes will be hitting the road once more next summer - watch for them again in YOUR town.
